As a 1980s BMX rider touring in Europe, Bob became exposed to the new wave of electronic music and loved it. Soon after, he bought a keyboard and drum machine and began composing, singing and mixing his own synth-pop music using a four-track cassette recorder, MIDI sequencer and various synthesizers. Influenced by bands such as Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yaz, Pet Shop Boys, OMD and others, Bob wrote and recorded several songs that remained in storage while he built his bike and Harodesign businesses.
In the early ‘90s Bob released a limited-run cassette as Factor of One. In 2014, he began reworking old Factor of One recordings and writing new songs. To date, Bob has more than 50 songs in his Factor of One catalog that are in various stages of development. Over time, he plans to release the songs in true 80s fashion - as dance mix EPs on 12” vinyl.
Bob’s music and collaboration with Diamond Field are available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and more.
